“MEET THE STAFF”
Fringe Benefits is run by a team of three employees and a number of dedicated volunteers. The staff, together, has experience in business, retail, non-profit, volunteer work and animal sheltering. Each employee and volunteer has a very special place in their heart for helping animals and keeping the community green.
Rachel Nick co-founded Fringe Benefits. She is 25 and currently lives in Sheboygan, WI with her two cats, Two-Socks and Lola, both adopted from the Sheboygan County Humane Society. Rachel gained non-profit work experience by working for a St. Vincent De Paul Society Store and was also employed at the Sheboygan County Humane Society. She is passionate about recycling and helping the earth and the animals that live on it.
Melanie Nick is a Fringe Benefits co-founder and currently resides in Plymouth, WI. She is the proud owner of three rescued cats, Fancy Pants, Billy, and Molly. She has over 25 years of retail experience. She is a former manager of the Sheboygan County Humane Society, which is where she learned about the financial demands of caring for homeless animals daily. She loves that Fringe Benefits is a thrifty “on-going fundraiser” that makes a difference for the animals she wants to help.
Rebecca Sylvester, 29, of Sheboygan, WI, lives with her Border Collie mix, Riley, and her cat, Sidda. Riley was adopted from the Washington County Humane Society and Sidda was adopted from the Sheboygan County Humane Society. Her love of animals can be seen in her devotion to the organization.
